Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and supervise peer support staff within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team.
  • Ensure integration of peer services into trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care models.
  • Provide mentorship, professional development, and constructive feedback to peer staff.
  • Develop and refine peer support service models aligned with agency goals.
  • Monitor compliance with ethical guidelines, policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and other providers to enhance service plans.
  • Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of peer support services.
  • Represent the organization in community meetings and professional events.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide individual and group supervision to peer support staff.
  • Support professional growth through training, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Ensure effective integration of peer services within the care framework.
  • Develop policies and workflows to support peer roles.
  • Monitor performance and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  • Conduct audits and reviews to ensure documentation quality.
  • Advocate for peer staff roles in care planning discussions.
  • Build relationships with community organizations and advocacy groups.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, psychology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in behavioral health or peer support programs.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented services.
  • Experience with electronic health record documentation and data reporting.
  • Preferred certifications: NYCPS, FPA, YPA, or CRPA.
  • Training in motivational interviewing or evidence-based interventions is advantageous.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or other community languages preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
