Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the strategic design and administration of comprehensive employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop cost-effective, competitive, and compliant benefit plans tailored to workforce needs.
  • Oversee vendor negotiations and management to optimize service delivery and program effectiveness.
  • Ensure seamless operation of health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs, supporting employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Provide expert guidance on benefits-related laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Directly manage a team member while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Contribute to organizational success by aligning benefits strategies with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design, implement, and administer employee benefit programs, including health & welfare, retirement, absence & time-off, and well-being.
  • Ensure compliance with benefits-related laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Select, manage, and assess benefit vendors to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Support annual benefit renewals, managing vendor negotiations, plan costs, and benefit plan design.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and administration of benefit programs and policies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address employee and manager needs effectively.
  • Provide strategic input to enhance benefits offerings and align them with organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in benefits management; 10 years preferred.
  • Strong expertise in vendor negotiations, 401K administration, leave of absence, health and welfare plan administration.
  • Proficiency in Workday and related benefits management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives while managing day-to-day operations.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and a flexible mindset to adapt to organizational changes.
  • Experience managing direct reports and fostering team development.
