Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide data architecture aligned with business goals.
  • Develop scalable and efficient data models within a Delta Lakehouse architecture.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align data solutions with organizational objectives.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in data modeling and governance frameworks.
  • Enhance enterprise data management practices for improved data integrity and performance.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data analytics platforms and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design and develop enterprise data models supporting analytics and operational reporting.
  • Define and implement data modeling best practices in a lakehouse environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and align solutions accordingly.
  • Translate logical data models into optimized physical models in Microsoft Fabric.
  • Develop data governance frameworks, including metadata management and data quality assurance.
  • Guide ETL/ELT strategies to ensure data integrity and optimal performance.
  • Establish and document data modeling standards for engineering teams.
  • Optimize existing data models for performance and maintainability.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree with 7+ years of experience in data architecture.
  • Expertise in data modeling methodologies, including Dimensional and Data Vault.
  • Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases, SQL, and Delta Lake architecture.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Medallion Architecture.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and Azure-based data architectures.
  • Preferred experience with Data Vault implementation and data governance tools.
  • Knowledge of BI tools like Power BI and Tableau for dashboard creation.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills for stakeholder interaction.
