Overview
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures under the supervision of radiologists or cardiologists, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilize radionuclides for diagnostic purposes, requiring independent judgment and technical expertise.
- Provide care to patients across all age groups, from newborns to the elderly.
- Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Operate advanced radiographic equipment and adhere to infection control practices.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform quality nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring compliance with established safety guidelines.
- Maintain radiographic equipment and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
- Adhere to radiation safety practices, including monitoring and contamination procedures.
- Assess patients and prepare them for procedures, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Educate patients about their procedures and obtain necessary consents.
- Utilize RIS systems accurately for patient tracking and record management.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient care and workflow.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree and graduation from an accredited ARRT or NMTCB program.
- Current ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine; 3 years preferred.
- Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment and performing quality procedures.
- Basic computer skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- BCLS certification required for cardiology-related tasks.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices and compliance with regulations.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring standing and walking.
