Estimator/Project Manager (Commercial Construction)

Overview

• Lead estimating and project management efforts for commercial construction projects ranging from $500k to $15M.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver high-quality construction solutions and ensure client satisfaction.
• Balance estimating and project management tasks, focusing on conceptual and detailed cost estimation.
• Utilize industry-standard software tools, including Procore and BuildingConnected, to streamline processes.
• Engage in negotiating with subcontractors and vendors to optimize project outcomes.
• Contribute to the growth trajectory of the organization by taking on larger and more complex projects.
• Maintain a balance between professional responsibilities and personal life, fostering a healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare detailed bids and scopes of work for diverse commercial construction projects.
• Conduct thorough cost analysis and estimation for all construction divisions, including civil and site work.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to client specifications.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and quality services.
• Utilize Procore for project management and BuildingConnected for bid invitations and plan uploads.
• Engage in conceptual estimating to support project planning and feasibility assessments.
• Support team collaboration and foster a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the development of proprietary bid forms and their integration into project workflows.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating and project management.
• Proficiency in Procore and BuildingConnected software for project and bid management.
• Strong understanding of all construction divisions, including ground-up civil and site work.
• Excellent negotiation skills for engaging with subcontractors and vendors.
• Ability to balance estimating and project management tasks effectively.
• Adaptable and coachable with a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
• Experience with conceptual estimating and handling diverse project scopes.
