Overview

  • Lead operational due diligence for private equity, real estate, and private credit investments, ensuring robust risk management and compliance strategies.
  • Collaborate with investment, legal, and compliance teams to evaluate and mitigate operational risks effectively.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings and actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Monitor fund managers to ensure compliance with standards and identify emerging risks.
  • Conduct site visits and interviews with senior non-investment team members for operational insights.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to enhance due diligence processes.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth and team development.
  • Contribute to the refinement of operational due diligence methodologies and practices.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform thorough operational due diligence on investment opportunities and existing portfolios.
  • Evaluate external fund managers specializing in private equity, private credit, and real assets.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks associated with investment strategies.
  • Prepare and present detailed operational due diligence reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor fund managers on a regular basis to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance due diligence processes and workflows.
  • Participate in industry research to stay updated on operational risk management advancements.
  • Support the professional development of junior staff through training and mentorship initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications such as MBA, CPA, or CFA are preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operational due diligence or related fields; 6 years preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and presentations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.
  • Experience with private equity, private credit, and real assets is highly desirable.
