Job Description

Overview

  • Provide laboratory services under the supervision of the Laboratory Director to support patient diagnosis and treatment monitoring.
  • Perform laboratory procedures adhering to accepted standards and practices ensuring accurate results.
  • Work during night shifts from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, four nights a week, including every other weekend.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and professional healthcare environment focused on patient care.
  • Utilize advanced laboratory equipment and techniques to deliver high-quality diagnostic services.
  • Participate in a two-step interview process including a phone screen and in-person interview.
  • Benefit from a commitment bonus of up to $10,000 paid incrementally over two years.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct laboratory tests and procedures to provide diagnostic information for patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with state, federal, and accrediting body regulations.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Document and report laboratory findings accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide insights.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives within the laboratory.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through ASCP or AMT (HHS).
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experience; 3 years preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited clinical laboratory training program.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory regulations and standards.
  • Willingness to work night shifts and every other weekend.
