Job Description

Overview

  • Manage financial transactions for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform monthly close processes and prepare internal and external financial statements.
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts for assigned properties.
  • Record and monitor banking transactions, wires, and debt service payments.
  • Manage mortgage escrows, reserve accounts, and tenant security bank accounts.
  • Support annual external financial audits and assist with ad-hoc projects.
  • Utilize Yardi software for property accounting tasks and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless financial operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and distribute accurate financial statements for properties.
  • Perform daily banking transaction reviews and updates.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure compliance.
  • Manage monthly wires, debt service payments, and escrow accounts.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, including tenant security accounts.
  • Support month-end close processes and external audits.
  • Assist with tax credit residential property accounting tasks.
  • Collaborate on ad-hoc projects and process improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in property management.
  • Proficiency in Yardi software is essential.
  • Experience with tax credit residential properties is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on-site and collaborate with teams effectively.
