Job Description

Overview

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver architectural projects of varying complexity.
  • Develop comprehensive construction documents and ensure adherence to building codes and guidelines.
  • Utilize Revit, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite for project documentation and design.
  • Engage in creative problem-solving to address design challenges effectively.
  • Participate in project site documentation and contract administration tasks.
  • Contribute to the development of technical specifications and interior/exterior detailing.
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration with project managers and other team members.
  • Support training and development initiatives within the architectural team.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead design and coordination efforts across architectural and interior detailing projects.
  • Prepare concept sketches, plans, elevations, schedules, and detailed design documents.
  • Analyze building codes and guidelines to ensure compliance in project execution.
  • Coordinate with engineering disciplines to align systems and project documents.
  • Document and participate in project meetings, ensuring effective communication and follow-up.
  • Conduct physical walkthroughs and site documentation during design phases.
  • Manage construction site meetings and prepare punch lists for contract administration.
  • Direct and mentor designers and interns to foster professional growth.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture from an accredited program required.
  • Architecture license required for Project Architect; not required for Project Designer.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong design orientation and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Experience in producing construction documents and understanding interior/exterior detailing.
  • Knowledge of building codes and client facility standards.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.
