Job Description

Overview

  • Provide operational support for Linux server environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support enterprise applications and related infrastructure.
  • Manage system provisioning, configuration, and maintenance tasks for Red Hat Linux servers.
  • Optimize containerized workloads using Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift technologies.
  • Support hybrid cloud infrastructure, including VM provisioning and networking integration.
  • Document procedures and system configurations to maintain a reliable knowledge base.
  • Monitor system performance and analyze logs to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery systems to ensure data integrity.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform server builds, upgrades, and troubleshooting for Red Hat Linux environments.
  • Administer server patching and lifecycle management to meet operational standards.
  • Optimize containerized workloads using orchestration products like Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Support hybrid cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Collaborate with development teams for GIT support and integration.
  • Document operational processes and maintain system configurations.
  • Ensure high availability and data integrity through backup and disaster recovery systems.
  • Integrate Linux systems with Windows infrastructure using Samba and Active Directory.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux in production environments.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and Python for system automation.
  • Experience integrating Linux systems with Windows infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with hybrid or cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Financial services industry experience is a plus.
  • Ability to commute to the office Monday through Friday.
