Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct patient intake processes, including discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs to assist in diagnosis.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and perform phlebotomy procedures following certification requirements.
- Prepare and collect specimens for diagnostic screening tests, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
- Maintain and sterilize medical equipment, ensuring examination rooms are prepared for patient use.
- Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records systems to support healthcare operations.
- Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in patient-facing activities, adhering to healthcare standards and protocols for optimal outcomes.
- Follow healthcare policies and procedures, exercising discretion and judgment in all tasks.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant training program is required.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification is preferred for this role.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical Assistant role is required.
- CPR certification is mandatory for patient-facing activities.
- Experience in medication/vaccine administration and phlebotomy is advantageous.
- Knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and patient experience standards is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus; proficiency exam may be required.
- Ability to work on-site Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, is essential.
