Overview

  • Provide essential clinical and administrative support to ensure seamless patient care and satisfaction in a dynamic healthcare setting.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality and compassionate medical services to diverse patient populations.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and perform diagnostic tests in compliance with certification and healthcare standards.
  • Maintain examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to uphold rigorous healthcare protocols.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records systems to ensure continuity of care.
  • Engage with patients to discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, and provide empathetic support during consultations.
  • Support healthcare providers in delivering efficient and effective patient care tailored to individual needs.
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare policies and procedures while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct patient intake processes, including discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs to assist in diagnosis.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and perform phlebotomy procedures following certification requirements.
  • Prepare and collect specimens for diagnostic screening tests, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
  • Maintain and sterilize medical equipment, ensuring examination rooms are prepared for patient use.
  • Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records systems to support healthcare operations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in patient-facing activities, adhering to healthcare standards and protocols for optimal outcomes.
  • Follow healthcare policies and procedures, exercising discretion and judgment in all tasks.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant training program is required.
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification is preferred for this role.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical Assistant role is required.
  • CPR certification is mandatory for patient-facing activities.
  • Experience in medication/vaccine administration and phlebotomy is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and patient experience standards is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus; proficiency exam may be required.
  • Ability to work on-site Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, is essential.
