Job Description

Overview

  • Provide accounting expertise for private equity and hedge funds managed by the client.
  • Ensure accurate transaction posting, journal entry processing, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to maintain compliance and streamline processes.
  • Utilize accounting software to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Support year-end audits and tax processes with detailed financial documentation.
  • Adapt to dynamic environments and contribute to ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in accounting platforms and tools.
  • Ensure timely payment and receipt of capital calls and distributions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor and manage capital calls and distributions for portfolio investments.
  • Prepare month-end close accounting work papers and reconciliations.
  • Track and record monthly valuations for hedge fund investments.
  • Initiate and process wire transfers with proper documentation.
  • Reconcile trading activities and review settlements for accuracy.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting year-end audits.
  • Collaborate with teams to address technical details and improve processes.
  • Handle ad hoc requests and projects throughout the year.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with private equity/hedge funds.
  • Proficiency in accounting software; Investran experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills for timely deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact across teams and levels.
  • Detailed analytical skills and aptitude for process improvement.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
