Job Description

Overview

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments to patients requiring mental health care.
  • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders, ensuring patient-centered care.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments, tailoring plans to individual needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and available treatments.
  • Document patient care in electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery.
  • Maintain knowledge of current mental health laws and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Prescribe and manage medications, monitoring patient progress.

Job Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current RN and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensure in MA.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
  • MCSR and DEA licenses required.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records systems and healthcare technology.
  • Knowledge of ICD methodology and behavioral health standards.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
