Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and oversee multiple complex architectural and engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions across diverse markets.
  • Drive project performance by managing scope, schedule, staffing, and financial health effectively.
  • Mentor and support emerging leaders, fostering a culture of growth and excellence within the organization.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of firmwide project management standards and practices.
  • Engage in business development activities, including client pursuits, interviews, and strategic engagement initiatives.
  • Travel as needed to support client relationships and project execution, ensuring hands-on involvement where required.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage project scope, schedule, staffing, and financial performance, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Project Architects and discipline leaders to align design intent and execution strategies.
  • Anticipate and address project risks, changes, and opportunities proactively, ensuring smooth project progression.
  • Lead contract negotiations, consultant coordination, and fee management to optimize project outcomes.
  • Mentor and coach project managers and team members, fostering professional growth and high-performance teams.
  • Contribute to the refinement of project management tools, processes, and standards across the organization.
  • Support business development efforts through client engagement, proposal development, and strategic pursuits.
  • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to gather insights and inform project strategies effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or CCM are preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing architectural or A/E projects; 10 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in project financial management, contracts, and client relationship building.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methods, risk management, and consultant coordination.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead client conversations effectively.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support client relationships and project execution.
  • Experience mentoring and developing high-performing project teams is highly valued.
