Overview

  • Lead business development efforts for Accident & Health insurance products in the Midwest region, driving revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Collaborate with underwriting teams and managers to develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify new market opportunities, emerging trends, and potential clients to enhance competitive positioning and drive sales performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, brokers, and insurance partners, ensuring successful collaborations.
  • Prepare and present strategic sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management, highlighting growth potential and performance metrics.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to strengthen market position and inform strategic decisions.
  • Promote a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and customer-centric approaches within the sales team.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Generate new business leads and build relationships to promote A&H insurance products and services.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales and distribution plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
  • Coordinate with underwriting teams to develop and communicate client proposals, negotiate terms, and close high-value contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless communication and alignment of business objectives.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes, tools, and systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Uphold company values and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing insurance sales operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant sales experience in the insurance industry; 5 years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, services, market trends, underwriting, and claims processes.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies and achieve revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for building relationships and influencing stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in sales software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Existing network and contacts within the insurance industry are highly desirable.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
