Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Assess students' speech-language skills to identify therapy needs and goals.
- Provide therapy services as mandated by Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations.
- Offer training and guidance to parents for effective home communication practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop comprehensive support strategies for students.
- Participate in staff development activities and in-service training sessions.
- Meet regularly with supervisors to discuss progress and receive feedback.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent qualification.
- New York State certification as Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped or equivalent.
- Professional license as a Speech-Language Pathologist is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in speech-language therapy.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills for maintaining therapy records.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented educational environment.
