Job Description

Overview

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in a clinical setting.
  • Ensure timely documentation and management of medical records using electronic health systems.
  • Administer immunizations, perform screenings, and collect specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Coordinate health services with off-site providers and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory timeframes for health and dental services.
  • Collaborate with social work staff to obtain consents for medical procedures.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to enhance service delivery.
  • Maintain a safe and organized clinical environment.
  • Engage in professional development and attend staff meetings regularly.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise clinic activities to ensure timely patient encounters and service delivery.
  • Document vital signs, perform venipuncture, and administer immunizations as per medical orders.
  • Assist medical professionals during physical examinations and manage referrals.
  • Coordinate dental and optometry sessions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide counseling and educational materials to patients and families.
  • Monitor health and mental health care information for effective case management.
  • Maintain inventory of clinical supplies and equipment.
  • Participate in meetings to provide health-related insights for care planning.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and incident reporting protocols.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) certification and license.
  • Updated First Aid and CPR certifications are mandatory.
  • Completion of mandated courses in infection control and abuse/incident reporting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric clinical settings.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and computer literacy.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient and family interactions.
