Job Description

Overview

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in a clinical setting.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health systems.
  • Perform venipuncture, administer immunizations, and conduct screenings as required.
  • Coordinate dental and optometry sessions and ensure follow-up care.
  • Assist in quality assurance activities and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide counseling and educational materials to patients and families.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to special projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor and track patient cases to meet regulatory agency timeframes.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, perform screenings, and administer immunizations.
  • Assist physicians in physical examinations and manage referrals and follow-ups.
  • Ensure timely documentation of health services in electronic health records.
  • Coordinate and document health services with off-site providers.
  • Assess and triage sick visits, ensuring quality care delivery.
  • Organize and maintain medical supplies and equipment inventory.
  • Participate in meetings to provide health-related insights for care planning.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with RN certification and license.
  • Updated First Aid and CPR certifications are mandatory.
  • Completion of mandated courses in Infection Control and Incident Reporting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of pediatric clinical experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and data management.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage supplies and documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare and social work teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient and family education.
