Job Description

Overview

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients within a clinical setting, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver high-quality medical services and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Perform health assessments, screenings, and administer immunizations as per physician orders.
  • Coordinate referrals, follow-ups, and ensure timely documentation in electronic health records.
  • Support quality assurance activities to enhance healthcare delivery and compliance.
  • Maintain clinic operations, including inventory management and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration to address patient needs and improve outcomes.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to special projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor and track cases to meet regulatory agency timeframes and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, perform screenings, and administer immunizations.
  • Assist healthcare providers during physical examinations and manage referral appointments.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation in electronic health records for all patient encounters.
  • Coordinate dental and optometry sessions, ensuring compliance with required evaluations and follow-ups.
  • Provide counseling and educational materials to patients and families as needed.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and maintain audit review tools.
  • Manage vaccine storage and documentation, ensuring compliance with program guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) certification and license.
  • Updated First Aid and CPR certifications mandatory.
  • Completion of mandated courses: Infection Control, Abuse/Incident Reporting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of pediatric clinical experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and computer literacy.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
