Overview
- Provide advanced medical assistance, including patient care, diagnostic screenings, and administrative support, in a collaborative healthcare environment.
- Perform clinical duties such as vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and specimen collection with precision and adherence to protocols.
- Utilize electronic medical records systems for accurate documentation and patient data management.
- Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to process improvements and deliver education/training to fellow medical assistants.
- Provide bilingual communication in English and Spanish to enhance patient experience.
- Participate in the company's Tuberculosis screening program as part of patient-facing responsibilities.
- Work on-site with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Discuss symptoms with patients and obtain vital signs for accurate assessments.
- Administer medications and vaccines following established guidelines and protocols.
- Perform phlebotomy and diagnostic screening tests with proficiency.
- Sterilize and clean medical equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Maintain examination rooms and ensure readiness for patient care.
- Document patient information into electronic medical records systems accurately.
- Provide advanced guidance and mentoring to other medical assistants.
- Adapt procedures and techniques based on discretion and judgment.
Job Requirements
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with 2+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and medication/vaccine administration.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate of Applied Science preferred.
- CPR certification and knowledge of Value-Based Care practices.
- Experience with HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish; must pass proficiency exam.
- Participation in the Tuberculosis screening program required.
- Local travel may be required; mileage reimbursement provided.
