Overview
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, medication administration, specimen collection, and diagnostic tests.
- Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment following standard procedures.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records systems.
- Deliver direct patient care within certification scope and organizational policies.
- Work under minimal direction with latitude for prioritization and timing of tasks.
- Adhere to company policies, including participation in the Tuberculosis screening program.
- Engage in local travel as required, with mileage reimbursement provided.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Administer medications and vaccines, ensuring compliance with medical protocols.
- Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for diagnostic purposes.
- Conduct diagnostic screening tests and report findings accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver patient-centered care.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient interactions and medical procedures.
- Support organizational goals by adhering to defined quality standards.
- Participate in training programs to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree or equivalent educational background.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with CPR certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience, with 2 years preferred.
- Proficiency in medication administration and vaccine handling.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
- Ability to work on-site Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
