Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage respiratory care services across multiple sites or a single site.
  • Develop and implement respiratory care goals, objectives, and pulmonary standards.
  • Oversee patient care practices and ensure adherence to evidence-based standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to respiratory care teams.
  • Monitor and optimize operational efficiency and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Promote patient advocacy and safety across all care practices.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives to elevate care standards and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage respiratory care teams and oversee the implementation of clinical standards and protocols.
  • Develop and monitor respiratory care objectives and pulmonary standards.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members to drive performance improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize resource allocation and streamline operational processes.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient conditions and develop care plans.
  • Lead service quality improvement initiatives and resolve complex care issues.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance care coordination and patient experience.
  • Mentor team members and oversee their professional development and training.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, Health Care Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum seven years of experience in respiratory therapy or related field.
  • Three years of leadership experience in respiratory care management.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner License (California) required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification required at hire.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificate required at hire.
  • Strong knowledge of pulmonary care, respiratory equipment, and patient safety protocols.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive quality improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and resource management skills.
