Job Description

Overview

  • Manage relationships with external vendors performing credentialing-related business services.
  • Coordinate credentialing processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Prepare and oversee credentialing committee agendas and provider summaries.
  • Monitor provider networks and address actions or sanctions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve credentialing data issues.
  • Conduct audits of delegated vendors to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Utilize advanced MS Office tools, DocuSign, and SharePoint for credentialing processes.
  • Support special projects and adapt to changing business needs.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review incoming credentialing cases and update case notes accordingly.
  • Coordinate Medical Director approvals and update statuses in the credentialing platform.
  • Log and track support tickets for vendor management issues.
  • Communicate data issues to stakeholders for resolution and improvement.
  • Monitor provider network changes and ensure accurate credentialing status updates.
  • Prepare quarterly presentations and reports for compliance committees.
  • Conduct annual audits of delegated vendors and oversee corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address credentialing challenges effectively.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare vendor management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, DocuSign, and SharePoint.
  • Experience in managed care organizations or healthcare credentialing preferred.
  • Strong collaborative and problem-solving skills in complex environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing timelines.
