Accounting Manager

Overview

• Lead accounting operations and oversee finance department functions in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies through accurate financial reporting and consolidation processes.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance scalability and efficiency in accounting workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize NetSuite ERP system capabilities and reporting automation.
• Maintain strong internal controls aligned with SOX-like standards, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Prepare technical accounting documentation and support external audit processes effectively.
• Provide insights and analytics to finance leadership for strategic decision-making and reporting.
• Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering a culture of growth and accountability.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Manage monthly close processes, including general ledger oversight, intercompany eliminations, and financial reporting.
• Lead consolidation and intercompany processes within NetSuite, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Enhance NetSuite ERP workflows and system controls in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Design and implement robust internal controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
• Prepare accounting memos and white papers to document policies and conclusions.
• Support external audits, including planning, coordination, and issue resolution.
• Provide variance analyses and revenue insights for monthly reporting packages.
• Lead special projects to implement process automations and scale operations effectively.
• Coach and develop accounting professionals, fostering a high-performance team environment.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of related accounting experience, preferably in industry settings.
• Proficiency in US GAAP accounting and financial reporting standards.
• Advanced skills in Excel and working knowledge of NetSuite ERP systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on team development.
• Experience in documenting accounting policies and technical memos.
• Ability to manage external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and scalability in accounting processes.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
