Job Description

Overview

  • Provide high-quality legal and commercial research to support organizational objectives and client interactions.
  • Analyze complex legal information, creating concise summaries and tailored reports for diverse needs.
  • Draft, edit, and proofread content ensuring accuracy and adherence to established standards.
  • Implement knowledge management strategies and collaborate with teams to optimize information services.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance research capabilities and streamline processes.
  • Design and deliver training programs to improve research skills and knowledge within teams.
  • Advise internal clients on research-related matters, applying consultative approaches to address needs.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all knowledge management practices.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct legal and commercial research to support matter delivery and client engagements.
  • Analyze and synthesize legal information to produce clear, concise reports.
  • Draft and proofread documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Implement and manage knowledge management strategies across departments.
  • Evaluate and integrate advanced technologies for research and information management.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal and commercial research within professional services.
  • Master's Degree in Library Science or JD with substantial law library experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in major legal research databases such as Westlaw, Lexis, and Bloomberg Law.
  • Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards for information governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement knowledge management strategies effectively.
  • Experience advising clients and addressing research and knowledge needs consultatively.
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance research processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on accuracy and detail.
