Job Description

Overview

  • Manage payroll processing for U.S. administrative and legal staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Handle expatriate payroll tasks, including housing allowances, tax calculations, and wire transfers.
  • Collaborate with associates and administrative staff to address payroll-related inquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Prepare and reconcile garnishments, benefit deductions, and other payroll adjustments using advanced systems.
  • Generate and analyze custom reports using ADP, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Assist with year-end processes, including W-2 updates, gross-ups, and compliance audits.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while managing sensitive payroll information.
  • Support Treasury Services with banking balance reviews and direct deposit rejections.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process semi-monthly payroll for U.S. staff, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and bonus payments.
  • Administer tax filings, salary verifications, and unemployment claims, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Review payroll outputs for accuracy and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Coordinate with Global Mobility for expatriate payroll audits and updates.
  • Prepare funding for payrolls, including taxes, direct deposits, and checks.
  • Develop and run custom reports to support payroll analysis and decision-making.
  • Assist with payroll audits and special projects as assigned.
  • Resolve system issues with ADP and ensure seamless payroll operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or equivalent experience in payroll processing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including multi-state and global payroll.
  • Proficiency in ADP systems, Smart Compliance, and handling W-2C adjustments.
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail for accurate payroll calculations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including vlookups, pivot tables, and data validation.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local wage and tax laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Experience with expatriate payroll and international law firm operations preferred.
