Overview

  • Collaborate with principals to strategize and execute financial goals and initiatives effectively.
  • Provide leadership to the accounting team, fostering growth and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and reporting requirements across all operations.
  • Develop and manage banking relationships to optimize financing for acquisitions and operations.
  • Prepare and deliver insightful presentations on market trends and financial analysis to senior management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash management for the organization.
  • Interface with external accounting firms, bankers, brokers, and internal departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Assist in organizing and managing various finance transactions and projects.
  • Build and maintain banking relationships to secure financing for acquisitions and operations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on financial analysis and market trends to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with principals to strategize and implement financial initiatives effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • CPA certification is highly preferred and advantageous.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant finance experience, with 15 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in NYC property management and real estate finance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with tight deadlines.
  • Experience in managing and growing accounting teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements is critical.
