Overview
- Lead global tax accounting and compliance efforts across domestic and international locations, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to regulations.
- Collaborate with financial teams to develop income tax rates and oversee federal and income tax accounting processes.
- Provide expertise in income tax reporting, deferred tax assets, liabilities, and valuation allowances.
- Administer and optimize OneSource Tax Provision Software for enhanced process efficiency and technology integration.
- Monitor tax legislation changes and assess organizational impacts, identifying opportunities for tax savings.
- Support tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Legal, and Treasury teams to streamline tax-related processes and strategies.
- Maintain and improve internal controls related to income tax processes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual global tax reporting, including SEC tax footnotes and disclosures.
- Ensure accuracy of forecasted global effective tax rate and cash tax models in collaboration with controllers.
- Provide ongoing training and support for regional effective tax rate preparers.
- Review journal entries for income tax expense, uncertain tax positions, and deferred tax positions.
- Identify and implement process improvements and technology solutions for tax provision software.
- Support tax planning projects and identify opportunities for organizational tax savings.
- Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and assist in tax audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance tax-related processes and strategies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum 9 years of experience in tax accounting or compliance; 10 years preferred.
- Proficiency in OneSource Tax Provision Software and familiarity with global tax regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to monitor and assess tax legislation impacts.
- Experience with SEC tax footnotes and disclosures, deferred tax assets, and liabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
- Ability to lead and train teams in effective tax rate preparation and compliance.
