Job Description

Overview

  • Provide comprehensive fund accounting services, including transaction processing and financial statement preparation, for a leading fund administration firm.
  • Collaborate with client engagement teams to manage daily fund operations and ensure seamless communication with clients and third parties.
  • Utilize advanced accounting software to maintain general ledgers and prepare detailed financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with fund governing documents while performing calculations for capital calls, management fees, and investor allocations.
  • Support interim and year-end financial statement preparation and partner capital statements.
  • Assist in the year-end audit process by assembling required documentation and information.
  • Contribute to special projects and client requests, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage cash and treasury functions, processing transactions using various banking platforms.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and cash disbursements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and record general journal entries for investment-related transactions and recurring income accruals.
  • Maintain general ledger and generate financial statements and accounting reports using specialized software.
  • Perform periodic investment fund calculations, adhering to fund governing documents.
  • Prepare reconciliations for bank and custody accounts, ensuring data integrity.
  • Support audit processes by compiling necessary documentation and information.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects, maintaining adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in fund accounting, audit, or investment accounting preferred.
  • Proficiency in Investran accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail essential for success.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines individually and in teams.
  • Experience with private equity, venture capital, real estate, credit, or infrastructure funds advantageous.
  • Self-motivated with a disciplined and professional attitude.
