Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist surgeons during procedures, performing tasks such as tissue handling, suturing, and wound management.
- Conduct preoperative assessments to develop individualized perioperative care plans.
- Monitor patient responses intraoperatively and adjust care plans as needed.
- Administer medications and manage interventions according to established protocols.
- Evaluate patient progress postoperatively to ensure recovery aligns with expected outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance surgical care standards.
- Educate patients and families about perioperative processes and postoperative care.
- Maintain compliance with professional practice standards and ethical guidelines.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
- Active RN license and Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of perioperative nursing experience; 5 years preferred.
- Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) certification highly desirable.
- Proficiency in surgical techniques and perioperative care standards.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing and planning patient care.
