Overview

  • Provide perioperative care as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) in a dynamic surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist surgeons during procedures, performing tasks such as tissue handling, suturing, and wound management.
  • Conduct preoperative assessments to develop individualized perioperative care plans.
  • Monitor patient responses intraoperatively and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Administer medications and manage interventions according to established protocols.
  • Evaluate patient progress postoperatively to ensure recovery aligns with expected outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance surgical care standards.
  • Educate patients and families about perioperative processes and postoperative care.
  • Maintain compliance with professional practice standards and ethical guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
  • Active RN license and Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of perioperative nursing experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) certification highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in surgical techniques and perioperative care standards.
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing and planning patient care.
