Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Assess and update the Python application architecture to meet enterprise standards.
- Refactor code for maintainability, performance, and scalability, implementing design patterns.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization models aligned with enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with security teams to address audits and control requirements effectively.
- Ensure the application adheres to regulatory and compliance standards, including logging and data handling.
- Enhance operational readiness through improved reliability, error handling, and observability.
- Support deployment and environment readiness, ensuring smooth handoff to production teams.
- Communicate progress and risks effectively to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python web application development.
- Proficiency in Dash, Flask, or Django frameworks.
- Experience with user entitlements, role-based access control, and secure authentication.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is preferred.
- Ability to assess existing codebases and implement pragmatic improvements.
- Comfortable operating independently and taking ownership of outcomes.
