Overview
- Serve as a trusted technical authority for designing and implementing complex infrastructure and cloud solutions.
- Lead technical execution from discovery through delivery across multiple client environments.
- Provide senior-level escalation for advanced engineering challenges and architectural decisions.
- Focus on delivering scalable, secure, and supportable solutions aligned with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers and leadership to align technical execution with strategic objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Ensure solutions are fully documented and ready for long-term support.
- Operate effectively within Managed Services Provider environments and multi-client settings.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Design, deploy, and support Microsoft Azure environments, including identity, networking, compute, storage, and security.
- Architect and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, leveraging tools like Nerdio for automation and cost control.
- Implement and troubleshoot enterprise firewall and switching environments, including VLANs, VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Design and support VMware vSphere environments, including cluster design and lifecycle management.
- Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell for automation and operational efficiency.
- Utilize MSP tools like ConnectWise Manage and Datto RMM for monitoring and automation.
- Collaborate with vCIOs and leadership on solution design and technical strategy.
- Produce clear technical documentation and post-project handoff materials.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Science (AS) degree in a relevant field.
- 7+ years of experience in a Managed Services Provider or multi-client environment.
- Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Nerdio.
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and Dell VxRail infrastructure.
- Proficiency in firewall and networking technologies, including VLANs, SD-WAN, and VPNs.
- Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Ability to lead technical projects and make architectural decisions independently.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical audiences.
