Job Description

Overview

  • Support the Wealth Planning department as a Temporary Paralegal specializing in Trust & Estate matters.
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing legal documents related to trustee succession and trust attributes.
  • Collaborate in a hybrid work environment, with both in-office and remote workdays.
  • Engage in special projects and trust summaries as assigned by the team.
  • Contribute to the department's operations with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Temporary position with potential for extension or conversion to permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Draft Receipt & Release forms, Successor Trustee Release forms, and other trustee succession-related paperwork.
  • Prepare Trust Key Attributes forms to profile basic trust characteristics.
  • Draft Promissory Notes and other legal documents as required.
  • Summarize trust details and provide comprehensive reports for internal use.
  • Assist with special projects assigned by the Wealth Planning department.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and organizational policies in all documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree required, preferably in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with expertise in Trust & Estate matters.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and summarizing complex trust details.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
  • Knowledge of legal standards and practices related to trust administration.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.
