Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the global Accounts Payable function, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across international entities.
  • Manage complex global payroll processes and AP operations in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
  • Serve as a Workday Financials SME, driving system improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Treasury to maintain strong controls around asset movements and disbursement forecasting.
  • Develop and enforce global AP policies, ensuring consistency and robust internal controls.
  • Lead and manage a geographically dispersed AP team, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Establish professional relationships with vendors and stakeholders to resolve disputes efficiently.
  • Monitor and report on AP metrics, presenting actionable recommendations to management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee global AP cycle, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments in multiple currencies.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards across jurisdictions.
  • Manage AP month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Drive system improvements within Workday Financials to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with Payroll functions to ensure compliant management of disbursements globally.
  • Lead and develop the AP team, setting performance goals and promoting best practices.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders to resolve disputes effectively.
  • Monitor AP metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable, with 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proficiency in Workday Financials, particularly AP and Expenses modules.
  • Expert knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and global tax regulations.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience leading and motivating geographically dispersed teams.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience in financial services, cryptocurrency, or technology industries.
