Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in labor and delivery.
- Provide antepartum, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care to patients.
- Perform newborn assessments and ensure proper care and monitoring.
- Maintain sterile techniques and knowledge of sterile field procedures.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and health practices.
- Collaborate with ancillary personnel to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Participate in hospital-required vaccinations and competency programs.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in New Mexico.
- Associate of Science in Nursing or equivalent degree.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 9 months.
- Completion of fetal monitoring course within 6 months.
- Competency in newborn care, sterile techniques, and labor management.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; 2 years preferred.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings and meet physical requirements.
