Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform comprehensive assessments of antepartum, labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor fetal and maternal health using advanced equipment and techniques.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
- Ensure sterile techniques and maintain sterile fields during procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing (AS) degree required.
- Current New Mexico RN license and BLS certification mandatory.
- ACLS certification preferred; NRP certification within nine months of hire.
- Completion of fetal monitoring course within six months of hire.
- Minimum of one year nursing experience; two years preferred.
- Proficiency in newborn assessment and care, sterile techniques, and patient education.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings and meet physical demands.
