Job Description

Overview

  • Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Implement and oversee system upgrades and patches to maintain system integrity.
  • Collaborate with teams to plan and execute IT projects effectively.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Document system configurations and maintain accurate records of IT assets.
  • Train and assist users in utilizing IT systems effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor and maintain servers, networks, and other IT systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to enhance system security.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software procurement and support.
  • Perform regular backups and ensure data recovery systems are operational.
  • Analyze system logs to identify potential issues and optimize performance.
  • Support IT-related projects, including system migrations and deployments.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on IT best practices.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration; 10 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with network configuration, troubleshooting, and security protocols.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud computing platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or similar are advantageous.
