Job Description

Overview

  • Direct and manage the investment due diligence division, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic initiatives in private markets.
  • Evaluate private capital strategies, identifying market opportunities and delivering actionable insights to optimize investment processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful educational materials and innovative investment strategies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of analysts, fostering professional growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive market maps, tracking industry trends and sourcing new investment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence on private capital managers, assessing qualitative and quantitative factors effectively.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for investment committees and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
  • Monitor existing investments, ensuring alignment with performance benchmarks and strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate sourcing and evaluation of new investment opportunities, contributing to portfolio diversification.
  • Develop and deliver educational content to enhance stakeholder understanding of private market dynamics.
  • Lead team efforts in creating strategic investment collateral and maintaining investment pipelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance and alignment with organizational goals and standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts degree with 15+ years in financial services and 10+ years in private capital due diligence.
  • Proven expertise in evaluating fund managers and presenting findings to senior professionals effectively.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Ability to lead teams effectively and work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of private equity, private credit, real estate, and real assets investment strategies.
  • Familiarity with investment committee processes and fund monitoring practices.
  • Capability to develop market maps and maintain investment pipelines efficiently.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with internal teams across sales, legal, and compliance functions.
