Overview
- Lead critical care nursing operations, ensuring clinical excellence and operational efficiency in ICU, CSU, and Dialysis units.
- Develop and implement strategies aligned with organizational goals for optimal patient care and staff performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance healthcare delivery and regulatory compliance.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to nursing leadership teams, fostering professional growth and evidence-based practices.
- Ensure fiscal responsibility by managing budgets and resource allocation effectively.
- Address patient and physician concerns, promoting satisfaction and resolution through effective communication.
- Maintain readiness for regulatory inspections and disaster preparedness initiatives.
- Drive performance improvement and shared governance initiatives within the critical care units.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee daily operations of ICU, CSU, and Dialysis units, ensuring adherence to clinical standards.
- Develop and execute long-term strategies to achieve organizational objectives and improve patient outcomes.
- Facilitate staff engagement, education programs, and evidence-based research initiatives.
- Address grievances and foster positive relationships among staff, physicians, and patients.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor financial performance and implement measures to achieve budgetary goals.
- Lead performance appraisals and human resource management for direct reports.
- Promote disaster preparedness and readiness for regulatory inspections.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current RN license in the state of practice and successful completion of critical care course.
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and CPI certifications required within six months of hire.
- Minimum of 3 years of critical care nursing experience; 5 years preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in healthcare settings, with strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written; additional language skills preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with healthcare management systems.
- Ability to mentor staff and lead initiatives for clinical and operational improvement.
