Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage daily operations of the Behavioral Health patient care area.
- Monitor staff competency and develop onboarding and training programs.
- Ensure adherence to state Board of Nursing regulations and Nurse Practice Act.
- Measure patient outcomes and recommend adjustments to improve care quality.
- Recruit, orient, and train nursing and auxiliary staff effectively.
- Create staffing schedules and assign responsibilities to ensure department efficiency.
- Develop and enforce infection-control policies and medication administration standards.
- Attend workshops and maintain current professional knowledge in nursing and behavioral health.
Job Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; active Registered Nurse (RN) license mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years of related clinical experience; previous Nurse Manager experience required.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills essential for managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in Behavioral Health or acute psychiatric units highly desirable.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient advocacy and evidence-based practice.
