Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct in-depth legal research to support case strategies and provide valuable insights into restructuring scenarios.
- Draft pleadings, proofs of claim, and prepare exhibits for legal filings and court proceedings.
- Manage case files, calendars, and trial notebooks, ensuring accurate tracking and efficient preparation.
- Prepare and file UCC financing statements and amendments, maintaining compliance and precision.
- Coordinate with external services and involved third parties to streamline processes and enhance outcomes.
- Train and mentor team members on department procedures and technical expertise, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Ensure adherence to confidentiality protocols and secure sensitive information throughout all tasks.
- Support fee application preparation and perform cite checking for legal documentation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is required.
- Minimum of six years of experience as a paralegal, with three years in restructuring.
- Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and case management techniques.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to handle competing demands effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of UCC filings, lien searches, and legal descriptions is preferred.
- Experience with Bluebooking and cite checking for legal documentation is advantageous.
