Linux Administrator

Overview

• Manage and optimize Linux server environments to ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise applications and infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker technologies.
• Support hybrid cloud infrastructure, including provisioning and networking integration.
• Develop and document system configurations and operational procedures.
• Monitor system performance and ensure operational efficiency through log analysis.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery systems to safeguard data integrity.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT operations and processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform server builds, upgrades, and troubleshooting for Linux environments.
• Administer lifecycle management and patching to maintain system reliability.
• Optimize containerized workloads using orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Support hybrid cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Collaborate with development teams for version control and integration support.
• Document operational processes and maintain an updated knowledge base.
• Ensure system availability and data integrity through robust backup solutions.
• Integrate Linux systems with Windows infrastructure using Samba and Active Directory.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing Linux systems in production environments.
• Proficiency in shell scripting and Python for automation tasks.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Familiarity with integrating Linux systems with Windows infrastructure.
• Financial services industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday.
