Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the lifecycle management and growth of motion control and automation products.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define product specifications and technical features.
  • Drive product roadmaps and business cases aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Support application engineering and business development teams with tools and training.
  • Develop positioning, messaging, and collateral for new product introductions.
  • Identify target customers and pilot programs for product launches.
  • Track product performance and guide continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Advocate for usability, serviceability, and technical excellence in product releases.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Own the product lifecycle from concept through commercialization and ongoing support.
  • Gather, analyze, and prioritize customer requirements and market trends.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for product positioning.
  • Define application opportunities and competitive positioning for new solutions.
  • Contribute to proposals, presentations, and bid responses as a subject matter expert.
  • Provide leadership in motion control architectures and programming requirements.
  • Support customer success through training and technical documentation.
  • Travel up to 25% for customer visits and site presence.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or related roles in motion control systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of servo drives, motors, and automation components.
  • Familiarity with servo sizing, tuning, and IEC 61131 programming environments.
  • Proven success in product launches and lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Python programming experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer visits and site presence.
