Overview
- Serve as the primary HR partner for a major construction project, delivering hands-on support in a dynamic, field-based environment.
- Support workforce engagement and retention efforts for a large-scale infrastructure project with a diverse onsite workforce.
- Provide HR services including employee relations, compliance, and operational support tailored to the project needs.
- Collaborate with corporate HR to align field operations with company policies and standards.
- Maintain a visible onsite presence to foster positive employee engagement and address workforce concerns directly.
- Contribute to workforce planning, staffing coordination, and recruitment efforts for craft labor employees.
- Promote inclusion, safety, and a respectful work environment within the project site.
- Leverage private onsite housing and amenities to support daily operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Partner with project leadership to deliver strategic HR support aligned with workforce objectives and company standards.
- Act as the primary HR liaison for onsite employees and craft labor workforce, addressing HR-related inquiries and concerns.
- Build and maintain relationships with field teams and project stakeholders to support workforce engagement.
- Provide coaching on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and performance management.
- Support HR operations such as onboarding, benefits coordination, payroll, and policy interpretation.
- Ensure compliance with employment regulations and project labor requirements in collaboration with corporate HR.
- Assist in recruiting and onboarding craft labor employees, ensuring workforce readiness.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance workforce capabilities.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of HR management experience, preferably in field-based or industrial environments.
- Strong background in employee relations and handling sensitive workforce matters effectively.
- Experience with craft labor populations and large-scale project sites preferred.
- Comfortable working onsite in a remote project environment with flexible scheduling.
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional HR certifications are advantageous.
- Proven ability to operate independently while collaborating with remote corporate teams.
- Alignment with organizational standards of excellence, including adaptability and results orientation.
- Knowledge of HR compliance requirements in field operations environments.
