Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the fund accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency for investment funds and vehicles.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to oversee fund operations, audits, and compliance filings.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to align fund accounting with industry best practices.
  • Manage fund liquidation processes and launch new investment vehicles effectively.
  • Ensure accurate investor allocations, NAV calculations, and compliance with governing documents.
  • Provide leadership and development opportunities for the fund accounting team.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with legal, compliance, and investor relations teams.
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and investment valuations to optimize financial performance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee preparation and review of quarterly and annual fund financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with fund governing documents for fee calculations and IRR assessments.
  • Manage year-end audits, coordinating with auditors and internal teams.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow and liquidity for investment funds.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Interpret investment documentation to ensure proper accounting for debt and equity positions.
  • Collaborate with third-party fund administrators for accurate and timely reporting.
  • Support investor relations with compliance filings and ad hoc reporting requests.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in fund accounting or financial management.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing accounting teams.
  • Strong knowledge of private equity fund structures and governing documents.
  • Expertise in financial reporting, compliance filings, and audit management.
  • Ability to implement process improvements and optimize operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with investment valuation and pricing methodologies.
