Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Configure and maintain connectivity across datacenters, offices, and trading partner infrastructures.
• Implement and maintain network appliances, with a focus on Palo Alto firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues in a live trading environment.
• Document network topology, configurations, and change management processes.
• Collaborate with the security team to manage controls and ensure network safety.
• Provide on-call and weekend support as part of a rotation schedule.
• Support projects straddling security and network contexts, ensuring comprehensive solutions.
• Enhance network reliability through proactive monitoring and maintenance techniques.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in network and security concepts, including IPSec, TLS-based VPNs, and routing protocols.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls is essential.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and techniques to ensure network performance.
• Strong problem-solving skills under stress, with attention to detail.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration across teams.
• Ability to work on-site in a hybrid arrangement within the NYC metro area.
