Overview
- Oversee large-scale commercial construction projects, including renovations and ground-up builds, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Lead field operations across diverse locations, managing subcontractors, suppliers, and trades to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to address field issues and ensure project momentum.
- Conduct daily site walkthroughs, safety meetings, and prepare detailed progress reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies to maintain a secure work environment.
- Utilize scheduling tools like Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 to manage project timelines effectively.
- Lead quality assurance efforts and oversee final punch list completion for project handover.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise on-site subcontractors and trades, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to resolve field issues and maintain project progress.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections to uphold safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including RFIs, daily logs, and field reports.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Manage project schedules using advanced scheduling software tools.
- Oversee quality assurance processes and ensure completion of final punch lists.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial construction as a superintendent.
- Proven ability to manage fast-paced construction schedules and multi-trade coordination.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and safety planning.
- Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, and scheduling software.
- OSHA 30 certification is required.
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Midwest and East Coast.
