Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage daily operations of the surgical services department, ensuring optimal patient care delivery.
  • Implement and monitor nursing care programs and practices for efficiency and safety.

  • Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance competencies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing within the state of employment or compact state.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical patient care experience in a surgical setting.
  • At least 2 years of healthcare leadership experience, preferably in surgical services.
  • Proficiency in healthcare management systems and performance improvement methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and mentor teams effectively.
  • Ability to analyze and manage budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
