Job Description

Overview

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys in a hybrid work environment, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Assist with litigation-related tasks, including document formatting, generating TOCs and TOAs, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Collaborate within a collegial and professional atmosphere, contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Handle multiple tasks efficiently, adapting to changing priorities and maintaining high standards of professionalism.
  • Support approximately three attorneys, with potential for increased responsibility as the office grows.
  • Work on-site for training and transition to a hybrid schedule with rotating remote days.
  • Utilize strong computer skills to manage Word, PowerPoint, and Excel tasks effectively.
  • Contribute to a business casual environment, promoting a pleasant and collegial workplace.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including document preparation and formatting.
  • Generate tables of contents (TOCs) and tables of authorities (TOAs) for legal documents.
  • Manage a busy desk with heavy client contact, ensuring efficient communication and task management.
  • Adapt to new technologies and tools, maintaining proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and tasks.
  • Support litigation processes, leveraging experience in Connecticut and New York jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate within a small office environment, contributing to team success and growth.
  • Participate in training and transition to a hybrid work schedule, ensuring seamless operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a legal administrative role, with litigation experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in Connecticut and New York litigation processes is a plus.
  • Motivated self-starter with a professional and dedicated approach to work.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with rotating remote days.
