Job Description

Overview

  • Provide high-quality nursing care in an ambulatory setting, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to diverse patient populations.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Record Systems to document and manage patient information effectively.
  • Work within a dynamic clinical environment, adapting to varying schedules and patient needs.
  • Contribute to the improvement of clinical processes and patient outcomes through proactive engagement.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance proficiency in eClinicalWorks and other systems.
  • Support pediatric and women’s health initiatives, providing specialized care as needed.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses and reporting any adverse effects.
  • Coordinate patient care plans with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic treatment approaches.
  • Perform routine and specialized clinical procedures, maintaining adherence to established protocols.
  • Educate patients and families on health management, preventive care, and treatment options.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies in all clinical activities.
  • Monitor and manage clinic operations, addressing any issues to maintain efficiency and quality.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited institution; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
  • Minimum two years of experience in ambulatory settings such as clinics or health centers.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Health Record Systems, preferably eClinicalWorks, with training provided.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage activities in a busy clinical environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish and experience in pediatric or women’s health are preferred.
